“We were thrilled to be recommended to Woodmancote School and enjoy our ongoing relationship, which resulted in us delivering the branding and website for the school’s pre-school, Little Chestnuts. The Woodmancote School logo remains one of our favourites.”

The school

Woodmancote School is situated at the foot of Cleeve Hill in Gloucestershire, an area with a growing population and three other good/excellent Ofsted rated primary schools in close proximity.

“We knew the way schools needed to approach their branding and marketing was changing. Our old school website had become ineffective at fulfilling its role – it was difficult to manage and out of date. Following a broader review it was clear our branding as a whole needed a fresh approach. The guys provided the primary school branding we were looking for.”

Our brief

To create a brand identity, marketing material and website that matches the school’s ‘Good Provider’ Ofsted status.

The school’s original chestnut tree logo and printed material was in need of a modern overhaul. In addition, the school website had become a burden to the school office team, so required a complete new design and build.

The process

We considered a range of approaches to the redesign of the logo, using the chestnut tree as its focus. The use of the shape of two pupils alongside an adult to create the trunk, provided a uniqueness to the resulting logo.

We designed a suite of stationery, marketing material and signage that incorporated a subtle hill as a background – reflecting the school’s position at the foot of Cleeve Hill.

For their school website, a proven structure of content and navigation system has ensured the site is both easy to use by parents and quick to update by school staff.

“The service we received has been exemplary and we cannot thank them enough for all the additional work they have done for us. A totally comprehensive and coherent primary school branding and website delivery has been achieved.”
